Terrance and I released a new Particle Bunni track this week called Questions Are Meaningless as part of The Quiet Room, an ongoing collection we’re building for the Discoastal Patreon.

Like a lot of the work we’ve been making lately, this one started less from an idea and more from a feeling. Or maybe a pattern I’ve been noticing in myself.

The other night, lying in bed somewhere between tired and asleep, I found myself spiraling through questions again. Nothing dramatic, just the usual strange mix. Why does some memory from years ago suddenly return without explanation? What is my cat thinking about right now? Why do certain thoughts suddenly feel incredibly important at 1 a.m.?

Looking back over my life, I think I’ve probably given questions too much authority. I’ve spent a lot of time trying to understand myself, understand other people, understand what things mean. There’s value in that, of course. Curiosity matters. Reflection matters. But there’s also a difference between being curious and getting stuck.

Some questions open things up. Others just keep you pacing.

I think this track ended up exploring that space a little. The strange tension between wondering and overthinking. Between staying open and trying to force clarity out of things that maybe don’t want to be solved. It’s not really trying to answer anything so much as sit with the feeling of uncertainty for a minute.

Maybe that’s enough sometimes.
